The nose reveals a bouquet of black cherry, cranberry, and wild raspberry, interwoven with notes of dried herbs, sun-baked earth, and a hint of spice. On the palate, Saint Urbain is medium-bodied and packed with red fruit, offering flavors of raspberry, stewed cranberry, graphite, and hints of violet, alongside an earthy, wet soil aspect. Ethereal tannins and well-balanced acidity lead to a long, silky finish. It was aged for a year in oak, before five further months of ageing in the bottle.
